  • Teachers pick two families and make a personal connection
  • I can reach out to two other families that have been recommended by teachers
  • Word of mouth: Talk with PTO families and encourage them to invite 5 friends

  • If the Principal does a weekly message to parents, the events will be included.

Fact Fluency Game Night

Examples

  • Go Fish: fish for pairs that add up to 10. Have student ask: “I have a 2. Do you have an 8 to make 10?” Change aces to 1 for this game and leave face cards out entirely.
  • Make a Buck: logic and problem solving skill are used to discern which cards to keep and which to discard, as well as thinking through possible ways to collect $1.00.

  • War:Deal two cards, a numerator and denominator, then determine whose fraction is the largest. The winner keeps all four cards, and play continues until the cards are gone.
