  • He abandoned his religious career to focus on science

  • Was in study of physiology and science
  • Won nobel prize for physiology and medicines in 1904
  • Created "conditioned reflex" were he tested to see if dogs would salivate when hearing a buzzer

  • Born May 6, 1856 in Austria
  • Died September 23, 1939 (83) in England
  • Was a doctor of medicine @ The University of Vienna
  • Wrote a paper on the pallctivee effects of cocaine
