SUCCESSFUL OR UNSUCCESSFUL?

  • It was considered successful by many people
  • Since it offered jobless people jobs and loans to states it was looked in a positive way by Americans.

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE TODAY

  • FERA closed after only 2 years after it was initiated
  • It was closed because they wanted to replace it for two other relief programs that people thought were better.
  • The two replacements were the works progress administration and social security administration
  • After the two replacements, Americans didn't think fera would still be effective.
