- Believed in rights for the people
- The less government in the common man's life, the better

- Too much government will overwhelm the citizens of this nation
- Corruption is almost guaranteed with this document
- People will lose all rights
- Lower class will suffer greatly

- Republicans tend to disagree on many issues that regard more government interaction such as, Health Care, Social Security, and higher taxes.

- More government programs will help our citizens and protect them. They believe that the government is here to help, just like the Federalists believed.
