Variables:

Independent Variable:Seconds of Exercise
Dependent Variable: Pulse Rate
Constant: Amount of time Exercising and Resting pulse

Hypothesis:
If my cat will run for a period of time, then my cats pulse will get faster.
I think this because her body is smaller, so her blood would pump faster, making her heart beat faster.

Procedure:
First, I checked my cats resting pulse, and my resting pulse. Then, I made my cat run around for 30 seconds, and I also exercised for 30 seconds. Right after that, I measured both my cats pulse, then my pulse. After that we did the same thing, only changing the exercise time to 60 and 90 seconds. Each time I measured the pulse for 30 seconds.

RESTING HEART RATE

HEART RATE AFTER 30 SECONDS OF EXERCISE

HEART RATE AFTER 60 SECONDS OF EXERCISE

HEART RATE AFTER 90 SECONDS OF EXERCISE

HEART RATE AFTER 30 SECONDS OF EXERCISE

HEART RATE AFTER 60 SECONDS OF EXERCISE

HEART RATE AFTER 90 SECONDS OF EXERCISE

Conclusion:
My hypothesis was right: my cat does have a faster pulse rate than me, even when she isn't doing any exercise. I know this now because my cat has a very small body, so her blood will travel faster than humans.
