What are the major contributions of medieval china?
•Major Contributions were : Silk, gunpowder, paper, porcelain, & woodblock printing

How did the geography affect the development of the Chinese civilization?
•Himalayas helped prevent Mongols from capturing china,Silk road served as a major trade route,Yellow River flooded & deposited soil which could be planted, china was settled between the chiang Jang river ( Yangtze River ) & huang he ( yellow river).

What did the social hierarchy of feudal china look like?
Emperor-ruled.
Shi:Scholars-were able to read,write, and keep records for the government
Nong:Peasant Farmers: produced food , they were landowners, & they paid tax.
Gong:Artisans & craftsmen- worker in a skilled trade, especially making things by hand. They were like farmers who made essential objects, more respected than merchants because the skills they had were handed down from father to son. Artisans could be government
Merchants - merchants didn't produce anything with their hands, but rather transported goods made by others .

•Eastern and North Eastern China.
People mostly lived in the eastern part of the country to have better farming conditions.
