• It's one of the most northern most country in the world
• About 1/3 lies north of the arctic circle
• The highest point of land in Finland Mount Haltia
• Geographic region= Scandinavia

RAINFALL AND TEMPERATURE

• The average rainfall is 61 centimeters.
• Finland has long, severe winters, and short, cool summers.
• Zinc, iron, cropper, gold. These are some of the major metals that are mined in Finland
• Forestry is a big part of Finland
• Most of the land is infertile. Making it hard to grow crops.

• He wrote the the words to the national anthem for Finland
• He got a gold medal for his verse in "the Grave at Perho"
• For the last 13 years of his life, he was paralyzed.
