  • Many kinds of wild berries were picked including chokecherries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and saskatoons.

  • Yellow pond lily This plant is found in ponds.This plant is sometimes eaten or used to just chew.
  • Wild rose Wild rose bushes grow on the open prairie. The Wild Rose has pink flowers that bloom from May to August.

  • Tobacco is one of the sacred aboriginal plants. Considered to be a sacred medicine, it was used in religious ceremonies by Aboriginal People.

  • Cottonwood is used for burials and is considered sacred.
