  • Spent the last 40 years of his life in retirement
  • Developed a disease where all body hair is lost
  • Died of Arteriosclerosis on May 23, 1937

  • Scottish American
  • Led the expansion of the American Steel Industry
  • Also one of the largest philanthropists of his time

  • Founded the Carnegie Steel Company
  • Became US Steel Corporation
  • Died on August 11th, 1919 from Bronchial pneumonia
