  • They live in tropical places.
  • Flamingos live near salty water.

HOW DOES IT Take Care Of The YOUNG

  • The flamingos take turns sitting on the nest.
  • Flamingo chicks hatch out of their egg in 30 days.

How DOES THE ANIMAL TRAVEL?

  • They fly.
  • Flamingos have strong wings so they can fly fast.
  • Flamingoes can fly as fast as 37 miles per hour.

FIAMINGOS BILLS

  • Flamingos have heavy curved bills which are dark red with a black tip.
  • Flamingos use their curved bills to eat their food.
  • The flamingo holds its bill upside down in the water.
  • Then it sucks the water and the food up.
  • The flamingo eats the food which is left in its bill.
