HOW THEY ACTED
- Many were considered "loose"
- Danced with men "inappropriately"
- Invented wild, explosive dances
- Listened to jazz and stayed out late
- Some smoked cigarettes
ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES
- Many flappers drank
- In the 1920s, this was illegal
- Prohibition forbid alcohol
- Went to speakeasies
