  • The Institut Supérieur International du Parfum in Versailles, France, offers a two year flavorship training program.
  • You must have a level head and clever mind to be a flavorist.

  • Salary well over $55,000 averagely reported by the Bureau of labor in 03
  • Although, salary usually depends on where you find work.

DEscription

  • Flavorist basically make artificial flavoring.
  • Things like microwave dinners, butter flavor popcorn, and jelly beans.

Outlook

  • No specific outlook data, but BLS reports a 8% growth in the food science 
  • industry between 2010 and 2020.
  • However as production of processed foods grow, flavorist are likely to be
  • needed for years to come.
