PRESENTATION OUTLINE

THE FLYING SHUTTLE

INVENTOR: JOHN KAY

Untitled Slide

  • Purpose: It sped back and forth on wheels and doubled the work a weaver could do in a day.
  • Invented: England in 1733

WHY WAS IT INVENTED

  • To speed up how much a weaver could produce in one sitting.

How might this effect our lives today, does it resemble any technologies of today?
If it wasn't invented then we wouldn't necessarily have as many clothes or other products that rely on wool or yarn.
