THE PITCHER PLANT

  • It captures it's prey by using special leaves called pitfall leaves
  • The leaves are just the walls, a cavity secretes a liquid that traps the insect on the leaves

SUNDEWPLANT

  • Formally known as Drosera.
  • Insects will land on the plant and find themselves caught by the sticky mucus.
  • The insect is used to supplement the growth of the plant.

VENUS FLYTRAP

  • It traps the insect in it's mouth and the mouth releases acids that dissolves the insect.
  • The insect takes a while to swallow, usually about 10 days.
