FOODBORNE ILLNESS

  • Foodborne illness is caused by eating certain bacteria and viruses

FOOD SAFETY

  • By keeping food were it is sopost to be can keep food safe and not harmful to other people

COOK

  • Food thermometers can ensure a person to a safe cooking temperature
  • To prevent bacteria make sure food is not inbetween 41°to 141°F

CLAEN

  • When washing hands:
  • Use warm water
  • Apply soap
  • Wash hand for at least 20 seconds
  • Dry hands after

CHILL

  • Meat, vegetables, fish, and dariy products must be kept cold
  • When food is cold it will stop bacteria to grow
  • Never keep food in the refrigerator that is over due

SEPARATE FOODS

  • Separate meats and seafood from other foods
  • Raw meet should be put in plastic bag
  • Store meat below fresh produce
  • Always wash hand after dealing with raw foods
  • Place cooked food on clean plate
