RISING ACTION

  • The chairman of the board and the premier visit the sick students who were apart of the hunger strike
  • Pg.70 "Li peng and Zaho ZIhang visited some of the hunger-strikers who had been taken to hospital
  • They vowed to keep it up until the died or the government agreed to discus reforms
  • The antagonist is present when they were trying to make it look like they supported the strike
  • Also when Lao Xu dies and gets shot trying to negotiate

CLIMAX

  • Xin hula dies
  • The PLA shoot her
  • Pg.183 "the sound of a single gunshot . I turn and look at where they had shot xin hua "
  • The antagonist is present when they order the PLA to take action and arrest the students

FALLING ACTION

  • The student is executed for standing up for what he believes in so Alex is upset and destroys his toys
