WHAT IS A FORENSIC DNA SCIENTIST

  • The scientist that uses DNA samples to see who matches the sample
  • They are trained in molecular biology and chemistry
  • They test DNA from a crime scene to identify people who were at the scene

  • They extract DNA from saliva, blood, teeth, and skin samples
  • After isolating the DNA, it is typed in different ways

WHERE DO THEY WORK?

  • They work in the lab, away from the actual crime scene.
  • They have sample evidence from the scene
