• Light is linked to our ability to see
• Light also helps living things and plants grow
• Light travels in waves

• Batteries and plants use this form of energy
• Our bodies use chemical energy when they convert food into fuel

HEAT ENERGY

• We use this energy for cooking

MECHANICAL ENERGY

• This form of energy results from the movement of machinery
• An example of this is gears, levers, and pulleys.

NUCLEAR ENERGY

• The most powerful type of energy
• It involves the energy stored in atoms and what happens when they split
