Formulate an effective long term personal health plan for yourself or someone you know personally. Be specific.

THE GOAL

THE GOAL IS FOR ME TO LOSE 10 LBS BY CHRISTMAS."THE GREATEST BREEDER OF SUCCESS IS SUCCESS."

CURRENT PROBLEMS

  • I give up easily
  • I don't stick to a schedule
  • I am a morning person so I work out around 4 a.m. Before I got to school which leaves me tired and sleepy.
  • I have a sweet tooth

The Plan
My current goal is to lose weight and I need to remember to "set goals that are specific" (Section 2.4 page 10). The plan is to lose 1-2 pounds per week through a mix of exercising and dieting.

STRATEGIES

  • Exercise in the gym for about half an hour at least 4 days per week.
  • "Dream big but start small."(Section 2.4 page 12)
  • I like swimming a lot and because I need to be "happy in life" and "have some fun along the way" (Section 2.4 Page 12) I will replace exercising some days with swimming.
  • I will cut down on carbs meaning no pasta and rice for me

MONITORING PROGRESS

  • Weekly/ bimonthly check ins to ensure that I am losing the amount I want at a steady and safe pace
  • Test out if I feel healthier or more energetic than before.
  • How long can I last before feeling winded while working out.
