THE NATURE OF SIN

We are born with our understanding darkened. We are supremely in love with sinful pleasures and selfish pursuits. We will not surrender to God. Our rejection of God is voluntary, purposeful, deliberate and persistently hostile to God's Law, program and Gospel.

THE ATONEMENT

ATONEMENT means “to cover” or “reconcile”. Ultimately, it is the long-awaited blood sacrifice of Jesus on the cross that fulfilled the promise of the supreme sacrifice that took away sin and reconciled humankind to God.
