CHILDHOOD
Frederic Chopin was born in Zelazowa Wola.
He was prone to illnesses at an early age.
He went to school at Elsner’s Consevatory.
When he went to school they noticed he had music talent.
He published his first composition at the age of 7 and preformed 1 year later.

FAMILY
Frederic Chopin’s mom was Justina and his dad was Nicholas.
He had three siblings Emilia, Izabela, and Ludwika.
He got engaged to Maria Wodzinski then his family broke his engagement off.

MUSIC LIFE
All of his compositions included a piano.
He was a polish composer and virtuoso pianist of the Romantic era.
He supported himself by selling his compositions and giving piano lessons.

Frederic Chopin died at a young age from poor health. He died at the age of 39. Frederic Chopin’s last concert was preformed on October 4th 1848.

When Frederic Chopin died he wanted them to cut him open and take out his heart so his sister could put his heart in a jar and bringt it to the Holly Cross church in Warsaw.

AWARDS
Frederic Chopin got the polish Radio prize for the best mazurka.
He got the National Philharmonic for the best performance of a piano concerto.
He also got the Fryderyk Chopin society in Warsaw for the best polonaise.

FACTS
Frederic Chopin played the piano with the lights out.
Right before he died he had someone sing the National Anthem of Poland.
In 1824 he spent the summer in Szafarnia, the mansion which is now home to Chopin Centre.
