Why i picked the freedom of speech

  • I think that you should have the freedom of speech any where you are and at any time.
  • I also picked it because people should have the right to speak out against other people and the government.

The freedom of speech

  • Freedom of speech is an inalienable right offered to every citizen of the us.
  • It was proposed September, 25 1789.
  • It was ratified December 15, 1791.

Ratification

  • Following the ratification in virginia the first 10 amendments to the constitution known as the bill of rights became the law.
  • On December 15, 1791 virginia was the 10th out of 14 states to approve 10 of the 12 amendments.
  • This gave the bill of rights 2/3 majority of state votes for ratification.

Is the freedom of speech a human right?

  • The Freedom of Speech is considered to be both a human right and human liberty.
  • Human liberties are defined as the opportunities, entitlements, and awards granted to the specific citizens of the country or nation.

Legal and illegal freedom of speech and expression

  • Freedom of speech may be defined as either human liberty or even a crime.
  • Expressions and activities deemed to be damaging, hateful, and prejudicial are considered to be unlawful and illegal act.

Freedom of speech and criminal activity

  • Hate crimes or any form of harm is considered to be illegal on the grounds that one's freedom of speech
