The French Explorers needed to use tools. These are some of the tools they used. They had to use steel traps to catch animals and oil to attract the animals.

The French Explorers used tomahawks to hunt also. They would throw them and try to hit the animals.

The French Explorers used maps and compasses to find were there going. The map helped them find were they were going more then the compass though.
