FRENCH REVOLUTION OF 1789

The storming of the Bastille:(July 14, 1789)
It is the first big, violent action.

The Declaration of the Rights of Man:(August 27, 1789)
The French finally had a voice and the right to speak.

September Massacres:
(September 1792)
This event overthrew the monarchy.
Many people were killed in prison.

The Women’s March on Versailles: (October 5,1789-October 6,1789)
It ended the Monarchy in Versailles. Women had more freedom.

Execution of King Louis XVI: (January 21,1793)
He was the first person to be executed of the Reign of terror. It ended Monarchy in France.

Execution of Marie
Antoinette: (October 16, 1793)
Everyone was free of Monarchy once she was killed.

Reign of terror : (July 1793- July 28,1794)
It ended the French Revolution. It started a new plan of government.
