HOW DOES A SCALE WEIGH YOU?

  • We've been learning about
  • Gravity all year, and we know that
  • Gravity pulls you to the ground.
  • When you step on a scale the only
  • Thing in your way from the ground is the scale

CONTINUED

  • So while gravity is trying to pull
  • You to the ground you are putting
  • Pressure to the scale which makes
  • It mesure your weight.

DOES MOVING IN A ELEVTOR EFFECT HOW YOU WEIGH?

  • YES! When you are moving down on a elevator, you
  • Start to weigh less because you are being pushed up
  • So the faster you go the less you weigh!

WHAT IF YOU WERE GOING UP IN AN ELEVATOR?

  • When you are going up you
  • Weigh more because you are being
  • Pulled to the floor while the ground is coming
  • Up at you.
