MY SPANISH PROJECT

BORN

• Frida Kahlo was born in Mexico City July 6, 1907.
• She claimed to be born in 1910, the year of the outbreak of the Mexican
• Revolution.
• She lived in the house of her parents know as La Casa Azul ( the blue house),
• in Coyoacan. At the time this was a small town at the out skirts lf Mexico City.

ACCIDENT

• At the age of six, Frida was struck with polio this was a disease, which which caused her leg to be
• thinner than the other one. Frida Kilo did not show her legs after the accident, so she disguised her legs with
• long skirts to hide them.

PAINTING CAREER

• After the polio accident Frida Kahlo turned her attention away from medicine.
• Then she had a full time painting career.
• Frida Kahlo loved to paint, her most common paintings were pictures of her-
• self.

RECOVERED

• Kahlo was left in great pain after the accident, she had to spend her time in a full time body
• cast. When she recoverd she started to paint herself, she did this becase she once said " I
• paint myself because I'm the subject I know best".
• Frida Kahlo painted a lot over time she became a really good artist.
