CAUSES OF FROSTBITE

  • Frostbite is when your exposed to coldness for to long.
  • Your body sends signals to the blood vessels to narrow.
  • Frostbite is when the skin turns black,purple,blue
  • It can damage a lot of tissue and blood vessels.

SYMTHOMS

  • A slight painful,prickly,or itching sensation.
  • Red,white,pale or grayish yellow skin.
  • A cold or burning feeling.
  • Numbness
  • Clumsiness due to stiffness of muscles.

FIRST AID PROCEDURES

  • Protect your skin from further exposure.
  • Get out the cold.
  • Gradually warm frostbite areas.
  • Don't walk on frostbitten toes or feet if possible.
  • If there's a chance the affected will freeze again,don't thaw them.

ADVANCED CARE NEEDED

  • Some might have to amputate the frostbitten area.
  • They might be able to save the frostbitten area but it depends the degree.
