God put this fruit in place because he wants us to be like himself and God is a very patient person, with longsuffering we are made to practice patience.
We can connect this with our lives because sometimes we have to wait for a long time for something.
It's before Christmas and you really want to open your presents but you wait because you know that if you wait the opening of presents will be much more enjoyable
CCC 2522 Modesty protects the mystery of persons and their love. It encourages patience and moderation in loving relationships; it requires that the conditions for the definitive giving and commitment of man and woman to one another be fulfilled. Modesty is decency. It inspires one's choice of clothing. It keeps silence or reserve where there is evident risk of unhealthy curiosity. It is discreet.
Modesty doesn't always mean just how you dress but how you act, what you say, and how you treat others. This can be related to our lives because if we use bad language, or wear clothing that shows either a front crack or back crack or walk around like you own the world then that's not modesty.
But if you use nice words, dress showing no crack front or back, and volunteer at homeless shelter or donate all your old clothes to homeless shelters than you would be a person of great modesty.
Kindness- a simple definition is "doing thoughtful deeds to others. And a way of thinking that leads us to doing thoughtful deeds for others." Kindness is humbly giving of ourselves in love and mercy to others who may not be able to give anything back or who sometimes don’t deserve it and poeple who frequently don’t thank us for it.
If you don't talk to others behind their back, never mistreat animals or anyone, always treat others as you would want to be treated and basically follow the golden rule then you are are person who has a lot of kindness in their heart.
Self-control is about resisting the temptation to break God’s law (which includes losing our temper) and react to others without demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit in our thoughts and actions.
Goodness- words associated with goodness in the Bible, such as truth, righteousness, justice and light.
God is good, and He wants us to grow in the fruit of goodness so we can be like Him. Our goodness should be something that other human beings can be thankful for, just as we are thankful for the amazing goodness God has shown to us.
Goodness is doing a random act of kindness, like helping a kid with their homework because they don't unrest and it and you do, afterwards you probably feel really good about helping the kid with their homework.
Chastity – Helps one guard his/her senses so that they will not cause him/her to sin; it helps one regard his/her own body and those of others as temple of the Holy Spirit.
