DEPRESSION

After I finished the poem, the theme of depression kept repeating back and forth inside my mind. " Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone". This quote helps highlight depression. As someone who fully understands, I know when I'm depressed, I don't want to talk to anyone, nor hear anything. I just want to sit there.

FAVORITE LINES

"The stars are not wanted now, put out everyone"
- Though this line also helps highlight the theme, I couldn't help myself from picking it. I understand this line, therefore, my favorite.

"Scribbling on the sky, "He is dead"
- This quote, in other words, means "I want people to know". As experienced, I know the feeling of wanting help, wanting attention. The speaker wants people to acknowledge his grief.
