CHARACTERISTICS OF FUNGI

  • Non-vascular
  • fungi reproduces by mean spores, usually wind-disseminated and have a vegetative body known as thallus.
  • They do not have digestive system other than the hyphae, which are tubular in shape.
  • Some are unicellular Ex.yeasts.
  • Fungi are heterotrophic
