Myth
Women are naturally inferior to men in terms of strength and speed, therefore, women are not as good at sports as men
Fact
Not all men are stronger and faster than all women. Women are more flexible and are smaller. This typically makes women better at marathon swimming, gymnastics, horse racing, etc.
Myth
Girls cannot tryout for men's sports teams
Fact
Girls can tryout for the men's team if there is no women's team available. Also the coach has to give women the same chance to make the team as men
Myth
There are no remaining obstacles to female participation in athletics

Society still spreads rumors about women and there athletic abilities which causes many women to quit athletics. These statements include:
