I am General Zachary Taylor and I was a general in the Mexican America war. I pushed Santa Anna and his forces out of Northern Mexico.

I helped win the war that gave us the Mexican cession,and Texas. This expanded our nation and people.

At the Buena Vista, I met General Santa Anna with 6,000 men. Santa Anna had 20,000 troops. After two days of fighting and heavy casualties Santa Anna fled with his troops and the war in Northern Mexico was over.

At the end of the war we signed the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. This gave us California, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona. Texas and the Gadsden Purchase. This cost us 25 million in all.
