GENETICLY MODIFIED FOODS

GENETICALLY MODIFIED FOODS

  • People modify food genetically and making them "better."
  • They inject a shot into the foods to make them improved.
  • They use a "bad" fruit and inject the DNA of a "good" fruit to make it better

PROS AND CONS

  • Pro: The people who inject the genes makes better food.
  • Con: They could inject something that may be harmful to us.
  • Pro: They could find away to safley protect the foods from bugs.
  • Con: They might try to inject the genes into spmething else and it could fail.

SLIDE
I am not on the side of genetically modified food. I chose this side because I think that genetically modifying foods could be dangerous because the injections of DNA or genes going into the fruit, and going into us when we eat it, means that that the genes of the fruit could go into ours. I also think that it is not a good idea because they could put something else into the fruit that we don't know about. The injections in the fruit could be something that is not edible and could ruin the fruit by over dosing it. I think that when the injection goes in it changes the fruit, yes it makes it taste good and look bigger and better but is it really safe? I would rather eat fruit with inherited growth or tastiness. Same with cloning it is not something good to do with food because it might not be safe to eat. This is what I think about genetically modified foods or GMO.
