Who was Genghis Khan?

• The founder of the Mongol Empire
• A unifier of the East
• A ruthless barbarian
• Everyone has different views on Genghis Khan, what's yours?

Temujin Borigin

• Genghis was born Temujin and later changed his name to Genghis
• Genghis means just
• When he was nine his father, the chief was killed
• His family was abandoned
• Through killing one of his brothers over hunting spoils he established dominance in his family

Descendants

• He had ten children
• One in every two-hundred men are his descendants
• 10% of men in Mongol borders are related to him
• Finally 8% of the men in Asia are related to him

Founding an empire

• He first united the plains between China and Russia
• He attracted people by allowing religious freedom
• From there he conquered and acquired more men by allowing defeated places or places that surrendered to join his army

Interesting Facts

• He allowed religious freedom
• No one knows what he looked like all portraits and busts are based in written descriptions
• By the middle of the 13th century the Mongols had formed the largest contiguous empire in the history of the world

Size of empire

• The mongol empire was 12,741,366 miles at its height
• If you prefer kilometers like me than it was 33,000,000 kilometers

It will not let me add a map, I have tried many times but it won't work

I also cannot add a graph I have tried but again, it just doesn't work.

Since I can't add a map or graph it should come as no surprise that I also cannot add any sound or videos.
