Animism

• is the worldview that natural physical entities
• including animals, plants, and often even inanimate objects or phenomena
• Today we pride ourselves for having shaken off such primitive animism.

HINDUISM

• is the dominant religion of the Indian subcontinent
• It includes Shaivism, Vaishnavism,and Smartism
• Hinduism is the religion of 80% of Delhi's population.

BUDDHISM

• Buddhism is an Eastern religion
• the Buddha and holding that a state of enlightenment can be attained by suppressing worldly desires
• world religion or philosophy based on the teaching of the Buddha
• People that believe in Buddhism are followers of Buddha.

JUDAISM

• Jewish religious practices, customs, and culture as a way of life
• Hannakuh is a holiday that celebrates Judaism.

CHRISTIANITY

• follows Jesus Christ's teachings: the religion based on the life, teachings, and example of Jesus Christ.
• Christmas is a holiday that celebrates Christianity.

ISLAM

• Islam is the Muslim religion
• Islam the second-largest religious group in the world, after Catholics
• monotheistic religion based on the word of God as revealed to Muhammad during the 7th century

SIKHISM

• Sikhism is the Indian religion: a member of a religious group that broke away from Hinduism during the 16th century and advocated a monotheistic doctrine, incorporating some aspects of Islam.

URBAN

• Urban means city and relating to or belonging to a city.

• Multicultural means more than one culture: relating to, consisting of, or participating in the cultures of different countries, ethnic groups, or religions

• A social class is, at its most basic, a group of people that have similar social status.

• is the ability to change social status.
• Many people throughout their lifetime will experience social mobility which means that their social status has changed.
• the possibility for people in a society to change their class or social status within their lifetimes.

CULTURE

• Culture is shared beliefs and values of group: the beliefs, customs, practices, and,
• It is interesting to learn about people from other cultures.
• and social behavior of a particular nation or people.
