Archipelego~ A group of islands.
ex- Japan

Atoll~ A chain of islands forming a ring-like shape.

Bay~ A large body of water connected to an ocean/sea.

ex- Bay of Bengal

Canyon~ A deep ravine between two cliffs. Often carved by water/glaciers. ex- Grand Canyon

Cape~ A large piece of land extending from mainland into a large body of water.

ex- Cape Cod

Continental Divide~ a watershed or height of land that divides a continent into two different drainage basins.

Ex- Rocky Mountains

Delta~ a land form at the mouth of a river that leads into an ocean.

Estuary~ a partly closed body of brackish water with 1+ rivers running into it and a free connection to the open sea.

Fjord~ a long, narrow, strip of sea between two high cliffs.

Glacier~ a gigantic body of ice that is always moving under its own weight.
Ex- Around Antarctica

Gulf~ An arm of the ocean, penetrating land.
Ex- Gulf of Mexico

Headwaters~ The source of a river.
Ex- The pool of water before a waterfall

Island~ a body of land completely surrounded by water.
Ex- Madagascar

Isthmus~ a narrow strip of land connecting to larger bodies of land.
Ex- Panama

Lagoon~ a large pool of water separated from a larger body of water by sandbars, coral reefs, or barrier islands.
ex- bays

Mesa~ Elevated land form with a flat surface and and flattish sides.

Ocean Currents~ Continuous movement of seawater due to Coriolis Effect and wind.

Peninsula~ a jutted out piece of land from a larger piece of land, surrounded on three sides by water.
Ex- Florida, Spain/Portugal

Plateau~ Elevated, level ground.
Ex- Edwards Plateau

Reef~ Rock, sandbar, or other feature below water surface. There are many different types.
Ex- The Great Barrier Reef

Strait~ A narrow strip of water connecting two larger bodies of water.
Ex- Strait of Dover

Cavern~ a hollow place in the ground or side of cliff, mountain, hill that is usually big enough for a human to enter.
Ex- Inner Space Cavern

Waterfall~ A place where water vertically drops at a part in a stream or river.
Ex- Niagara Falls
