RELATIVE LOCATION

  • Example: Down the street, near my house
  • Definition: a description of a blade using relative terms
  • One use for relative location is when viewing things on a map

BOUNDARIES

  • There are many types of boundaries
  • Some include political and racial
  • Example: the border between the U.S. and Mexico
  • Definition: a border between one or more things

CLIMATE

  • Climate can vary depending on elevation and body's of water
  • Definition: a consistent pattern of weather for one place
  • Example: The climate for Cape Cod is warm in the summer and cold in the winter

CONTINENTS

  • Example: Antarctica, Asia, North and South America, Africa, Europe
  • Definition: a large land mass that has at least one country
  • All continents border the sea
  • All continents fit together like a puzzle

OCEANS

  • Examples: Indian, Pacific, Antarctic and Atlantic
  • Definition: a large mass of water that is between continents
  • Oceans make up roughly 75% of the world
  • We know more about the surface of the moon then we do of our oceans
