Geologic Folds:
occurs when one or a stack of originally flat and planar surfaces, such as sedimentary strata, are bent or curved as a result of permanent deformation.

Joint Fracture:
such as a joint or a fault that divides the rock into two or more pieces.

Geologic fault:
a planar fracture across which there has been significant displacement along the fractures as a result of rock mass movement.

Mountain:
a natural elevation of the earth's surface rising more or less abruptly to a summit.

Volcanic Mountain Range:
Volcanic Mountains are formed when lava deep within the earth, erupts, and piles upon the surface. When the ash and lava cools, it builds a cone of rock.
