ACUTE ANGLE

AN ANGLE THAT HAS A MEASURE LESS THAN A RIGHT ANGLE.

LINE

  • A straight path of points that continues without end in both directions

LINE OF SYMMETRY

  • An imaginary line that devides a shape into two congruent parts

LINE SYMMETRY

  • What a shape has if it can be folded about a line so that its two parts match exactly

OBTUSE ANGLE

  • An angle that has a measure greater than a right angle
  • Greater than 90 degrees

RAY

  • A part of a line, with one end point, that is straight and continues in one direction

RIGHT ANGLE

  • An angle that forms a square corner and has a measure of 90 dergees

INTERSECTING LINES

  • Line in a plane that cross at exactly one point.
  • They form four angles

PARALLEL LINES

  • Lines in a plane that are always the same distance apart
  • They never intersect

PERPENDICULAR LINES

  • Lines in a plane that intersect to form 4 right angles

TRAPEZOID

  • Has 1pair of parallel Sides

PARALLELOGRAM

  • Has 2 pairs of paralell sides
  • Has 2 pairs of sides of equal length

RHOMBUS

  • 2 pairs of parallel sides
  • 4 sides of equal lengnth

RECTANGLE

  • 2 pairs of parallel sides

SQUARE

  • 2 pairs of parallel sides
  • 4 sides of equal lengnth
  • 4 right angles

STRAIGHT ANGLE

  • An angle in which two rays point in opposite directions so that they form a line

POINT

  • An exact location in space

LINE SEGMENT

  • A part of a line that has two endpoints

ANGLE

  • Is formed by two rays or line segments that have the same endpoint.
  • The shared endpoint is called vertex

EQUILATERAL TRIANGLE

  • A triangle that has 3 equal sides

ISOSELES TRIANGLE

  • A triangle that has two equal sides

SCALENE TRIANGLE

  • A triangle that has no equal sides

HEXAGON

  • Six sides
  • Six lines of symmetry
