  • Handels parents were Dorothea Taust and Georg Handel.
  • He has 8 siblings, Johanna, Karl, Dorothea Sophia, Dorothea Elsiabet, Christoph, Sophia, Anna, Gottfried Handel.

  • His dad was a surgeon and a barber.
  • Handels mom did not have a job.

Handel was very smart during school. Someone said “No man has ever told me a story with more effect.”

EDUCATION

  • Martin Luther University, Halle, Wittenberg was were he went for music education.
  • Handel went to law school, then deciding he wanted to study music, he went to law school because his dad wanted him to.
  • University of Halle is where he studied law.

King George ll stood up during the Messiah premiere in London. When the King stands everyone stands. So now days every time the Messiah is played everyone stands. No one really knows why he stood, impressed by the music, or started to daze off and loved the music.
