3.
HOW DID HE COME INTO OFFICE?
He ran in election against Michael Dukakis in 1988 and won. His VP was Dan Quayle.
He succeeded Ronald Regan as the next president of the U.S.A
4.
WHAT WAS HIS "PROGRAM"?
Bush wanted to clean up foreign affairs with other countries after the fall of the Soviet Union and the Berlin Wall.
He also wanted to lower U.S taxes and not add anymore.
The biggest obstacle he faced was that congress was democratic and would not agree with him in anything.
Though he was successful in foreign affairs, he ended up raising taxes to please congress.
5.
THE MOST MEMORABLE EVENTS
The passing of the Clean Air Act which was passed to combat pollution in the U.S
The first Gulf War to remove Saddam Hussein from Kuwait.
Lastly the invasion of Panama, where he sent troops to overthrow Manuel Noriega who was threatening panama civilians and Americans living there.
6.
HOW DID HE LEAVE OFFICE!
He ran again, but ultimately lost to Bill Clinton
7.
WAS HE A GOOD PRESIDENT?
According the gallop survey, he was popular until 1992 when his ratings dropped below 50%
On
debate.org
his numbers are 52% in favor and 48% opposing.
I personally feel he was a good president and don't blame him for having to raise taxes and such to please a difficult congress.
