  • The Kura river goes through Georgia and therefore helps with transportation
  • Rivers help with transportation like using boats versus cars
  • Rivers connect to many different places becuase there're so many
  • Black Sea port to trade with other countries and continents
  • Rivers provide cleaner water

MOUNTAINS AND HUMAN SETTLEMENT

  • Caucasus mountains have trade routes through them
  • Mountains helped protect Georgia citizens
  • Very mountainous so very isolated

  • Started out as just rural and little urban
  • Today half is urban and half is rural
  • Some people moving to cities and others staying behind
  • People in rural rely on fertile soil and crops
  • Crops include tea, vegetables, fruits, and grains
