2.
What is geothermal energy?
Geothermal energy is energy harnessed underground.
Water is heated 1-2 miles where it turns into steam, to turn turbines.

3.
The process
First, Water is pumped 2 miles underground by a well.
The water is then pumped through the fissures of the rock.
The water is then turned into steam, and is pumped by a reduction well.
The steam then turns a turbine, generating electricity.

Pros
Geothermal energy is pollution free.
The energy can be harnessed 365 days a year.
No fuel is required to generate the electricity.
Geothermal power plants offer jobs.
Zero carbon emmisions.
Can be built underground.
Geothermal energy has been used for centuries.
Geothermal energy is completely renewable.
Home owners save 35-60% savings on heating.
And 25-50% on cooling.

5.
Pros
Geothermal energy is all clean!
No fuel is required to make the energy.
Provides jobs for thousands of people.
6.
Cons
Geothermal power plants can run out of steam due to cooling temperatures.
Makings geothermal plants are very expensive.
Some gasses may be released in the process.
Some regions are not available to geothermal plants.
Earthquakes are a possibility.
It costs money to power the pump.
Geothermal power plants need high temperature.
It's very hard to transport the geothermal energy.
Most plants are very far from civilization.
