What is DocumentCloud?
Brief history - Knight News Challenge funded project started by NY Times and ProPublica to host a repository of documents for investigative journalists.

WHY IS IT SPECIAL?

It is open only to journalists. It is not commercial or open to the public. It is a grant-funded tool intended to make our jobs as watchdog journalists easier. And it's free.
