PLUCKING

  • In glaciers plucking happens when rocks and stones become frozen to the sides and bottom of the glaciers and are plucked from the ground or rock face as the rock moves

ABRASION

  • Abrasion happens when rocks and stones become meddled in the base and sides of the glacier and scrape against the mountain side or ice and work as sandpaper making the landscape smooth

HOW DO THEY MOVE

  • The sheer weight of the glacier and the force of gravity make glaciers move
