Global warming is the overall temperature increase of the Earth's atmosphere attributed to the emission of CO2 and other greenhouse gasses.

Carbon contributes to global warming because it is a molecule that traps heat and will raise the Earth's temperature. It's a molecule that is admitted into the air by incomplete combustion. Essentially anything that produces smoke, for example cars, factories, and any other fossil fuel-driven product, emits carbon.

Global warming will increase the Earth's temperature which will increase more severe storms, increase flooding, and cause drought.

A carbon tax is a tax on the people for the emissions of CO2.

But a carbon tax will replace other taxes within the state and the community. so in a sense it is no difference.
