- GMO stands for Genetically Modified Organism
- It is an organism that has been engineered in a laboratory.
- They use GMOs in livestock and animals.
- Some foods that have GMOs are soybeans, corn, potatoes, and rice

Why I am against GMO
- Its a hazard to the environment. Last year in a laboratory study in nature which was were they grew corn and endangered monarch caterpillars.
-Reduces the effectiveness of pesticides. Mosquitoes develop resistance to the pesticides,many people worry that insects will develop resistance to pesticides as well.

More Reasons I am against GMOs
- There are human health risks such as allergies. Many children could develop a life-threatening allergy to a new gene from a new plants.
- They could have unknown effects on human health. There are increasing concerns on foreign genes into plants food that may have a negative effect on human health.
