PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Discovered in 1891, its age has been variously estimated at between 5,000 and 50,000 years.
Large numbers of nickel–iron fragments from gravel size to 1,400 pounds (640 kg) have been found in a 100-square-mile (260-square-kilometer) area.
The Bow City Impact Crater is a probable meteorite impact crater located in southern Alberta, Canada.
It is 8-kilometre-wide (5.0 mi) crater was discovered in 2012 by Wei Xie of the University of Alberta. The crater is estimated to have formed approximately 70 million years ago.
located north of Cedar Lake in northern Algonquin Provincial Park.It is 3.8 kilometres (2.4 mi) in diameter and the age is estimated to be 396 ± 20 million years
The Brent Crater: First recognized in 1951 from aerial photographs, the crater is a circular depression about two miles in diameter formed in Precambrian crystalline rocks. Geophysical and diamond drilling investigations show that the crater has a present depth of about 1,400 feet but is partly filled with sedimentary rocks with a thickness of 900 feet.
Carswell is an impact crater within the Athabasca Basin of the Canadian Shield in northern Saskatchewan, Canada.[1] It is 39 kilometres (24 mi) in diameter and the age is estimated to be 10 to 115 million years
It lies underwater at a depth of 40–208 meters (131–682 ft), it was created as a result of the impact of a meteoroid of about 300 meters (980 ft) in diameter.
