3 οὐκ ἔσονταί σοι θεοὶ ἕτεροι πλὴν ἐμοῦ. —
there is only one number 1
and God claims that spot
there shall be to you......
no other gods of a different kind
emphasis on place - the number one spot in our lives is occupied by the Lord
because they are of no value....don't either do us good nor harm - but they can certainly tie up alont of time and energy
none are permitted, of course the only kind are the made up manufactured kind,
We have come to fear other gods, or alt least what those who follow them might do to us
(Illus. Jeremiah 10:1-10)
