• Alluvial is searching with a pan, cradle or bucket in the water
• Surface mining is mining on the ground. For this you will need a pickaxe and a shovel

• Hard work/They worked every day except for Sundays.
• Dangers like snakes,spiders,poisoning of food and policemen
• Little food/mutton,suger,flour and tea
• Robbers/bushrangers
